About ABCParade

ABCParade features an animation where each of the letters takes on a particular character as it emerges from the ABS Schoollhouse. The animation can be played in its entirety with, or without, a sound track. The animation rate can be increased once your child becomes familiar with the characters. There is also a Scrub mode allowing you to move a slider which will advance through a letter, or the entire animation, at any rate.

Letter Animations

Each of the letters can also be played individually, selectable from the home page 'keyboard'. As with the ehtire animation, there are options for sound, speed and scrubbing.

Parade Mode

In Parade Mode, the letters will move across the screen from right to left, each letter pausing front and center. This can be done with or without sound. The rate of presentation is variable. You have a choice of full size or half size letters which allow more of the upcoming letters to be anticipated.

Paarade also offers a Step mode. Here the letters are advanced, or reversed, by clicking buttons. Another button plays the selected voice saying the letter.

There is a Carousel option which plays the final portion of the animation where the letters, after their introductions, are rotated around the schoolhouse.

Hear the Letters

In this mode, a keyboard-like screen allow tapping on any letter to hear its sound. This mode includes Find which will prompt the child to find a particular letter and offer feedback whether the find was successful or the child should try again.
