iOS Apps for Science Education

After several other careers, I spent 24 years teaching Physics, AP Physics, AP Biology, Chemistry and Computer Graphics & Animation. After retirement I put my experience and enthusiasm to work writing apps. Except for PhysicsEq these apps are in the process of being tested. PhysicsEq is currently available in the App Store and ready to play!

All apps are currently offered free but are in-depth and of high educational and visual quality. Below is a brief summary of each, click on icons to the left for a more complete description. In addition to iOS devices, the apps will also run on a Mac with Apple's M1 chip running Big Sur or Catalina OS.

Please contact me if you have any issues with the programs or suggestions for improvement. If you are interested in final testing, to be sure they perform well on a variety of devices, please send me a message.

PhysicsEq

PhysicsEq is the equivalent of a semester of Mechanics in a Physics class whether AP Physics, H.S. Physics or an algebra based college introduction. Although some problem solving is included, the equations of mechanics are delved into for how they explain relationships. The app features many interactive simulations and a wealth of images.

BioMole

BioMole is an interactive introduction to the macromolecules of life, highly appropriate for any introductory Biology course especially AP. All molecules are three-dimensional and can be manipulated in various ways.

MathSlate

MathSlate offers a variety of options to give your child practice in basic math skills. One special feature is using skip-counting to master "times tables".

ABCParade

This app features animations of the letters of the alphabet presented in various ways to help learn those ABCs.
